About

EARTH WONDERS LIBRARY was founded in 2026 by Jan Mestan, an independent researcher who examines the Earth through the lenses of physics, philosophy, and the history of science, often exploring unconventional hypotheses. Jan's journey took a pivotal turn during the COVID-19 pandemic when he joined Prusa Research, just as the demand for full-face shields in healthcare was skyrocketing. Immersed in the world of cutting-edge technology, he mastered the art of 3D printing. By merging his deep expertise in Earth physics and geoinformatics with these new technological skills, Jan went on to found TerraMakers.

At TerraMakers, we transform digital elevation data into 3D-printable spherical models using an automated pipeline. Our proprietary script reprojects TouchTerrain TIFF data, calculates true sphere scale for 3D coordinates, and generates a seamless terrain mesh with a solid base, ensuring a printable, eco-friendly PLA model (0.16 mm layer height, FDM technology). Our products are designed for decorative and educational purposes.

Created for every citizen of planet Earth, EARTH WONDERS LIBRARY showcases the wonders of our unique world through satellite-based models created with respect to the Earth’s spherical curvature. They are perfect as interactive educational tools for classrooms, and just as brilliant for anyone wanting to bring a piece of the Earth home and unleash their creative side.
